Could the police not have arrested them without spraying them?
That's not a rhetorical question. Do we, as a nation, think that it's ok for police to use pepper spray on peaceful protestors? Would it be ok if they were protesting something else besides corporate greed, like say if it was a group of "right to life" protestors sitting in front of a clinic?
What is going to happen when we no longer have the right to shine a light on the injustices of our society? It may be time to decide exactly what kind of country - and world - we want to live in.
