Not for 311 but for the opening band which was called the Expendables, who weren't so bad just LOUD!!! Ziggy Marley followed them and his group was great. I loved his rant on love! "Love, love-love-love, LOVE! Love. Love? Love! I don't have much more to say other than that". He did a couple of his father's songs too which was the icing on the cake.
Then 311 took the stage and wow. Just. Wow. I don't know what I was expecting but that wasn't it. They rocked. Hard. They're one of those groups that kind of fly under the radar as far as people knowing who they are but the people who do know them LOVE them (I'm now one of those people). It was an amazing show and next time they come to town I might have to be down on the floor instead of chilling in the seats.

Great write up on 311, and yes, a band that quickly came onto the scene in the mid 90's and then held strong through what was a very turbulent time in the music industry. So cool you got to see them perform!
