Serious Bead Jones

I finally stopped by the local bead shop and picked up some gemstone beads. They have a really great selection and it's only about a mile from here so super-duper convenient. They had some beautiful Carnelian, Aquamarine, Fire Opal and Garnet which I used in this piece.

This one has more of the Aquamarine with some Amethyst and silver filigree spacer beads. I think I'm going to keep the necklace but the bracelet is a Valentine gift.

Beautiful work! Bead World on Roosevelt Way (N-gate exit to Roosevelt, turn R and 1 mile (?) or so on the left) might have some other treasures . . .

Ah, yes. I think I've seen that but never stopped. There is also a place on Stone Way? Fire Bead.. Tribal Bead... Something like that. I need to make the rounds. Maybe next time you guys are here (during nicer weather) we could try to hit Shipwreck beads. It would be a nice little road trip.
